Dylann E. Hayes, LCSW-S

SHE/HER/HERS

Therapy can be intimidating, and I wholeheartedly respect the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek support. Sometimes life is just too overwhelming for us to navigate on our own and with our current resources. That is where I come in.

I bring experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both non-profit agency and private practice settings. I have extensive knowledge and training supporting children, adolescents, and their families in navigating family conflict, traumatic stress, suicidal and/or homicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-injury, attachment, and behavior challenges.

Therapy is your space

to be your whole self.

I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I thoroughly enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I primarily work with adolescents and younger adults in their late teens, twenties, and thirties. My clinical focus was derived from my experience, passion, and clients who I feel I am the most effective with.

CLINICAL FOCUS

  • Trauma and/or Intergenerational Trauma

  • Anxiety and Worry

  • Depression and Peripartum/Postpartum Depression

  • Rumination/Repetitive Negative Thinking

  • Self-Esteem and Confidence

  • Relational Conflict Stress

  • Suicidal and/or Homicidal Ideation,
    Non-Suicidal Self-Injury

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Services from Southern Illinois University and my Master of Social Work from Texas Christian University. I then completed 3,000 hours of clinical experience and supervision required to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. I am also recognized as a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.

Curious about the “why” and “how” of my profession, I immersed myself in research by completing an undergraduate senior honors thesis and worked as a research assistant at both the undergraduate and graduate level. By valuing knowledge and as an avid consumer of research, I ensure I provide cutting-edge implications in my practice.

I am especially proud of my experience managing a crisis intervention intake program as it provided me with greater knowledge of resources to direct my clients to additional support in our community that I cannot provide. Examples include psychological testing, residential treatment, or alternative therapies.

WHEN I’M NOT WITH MY CLIENTS

I enjoy restaurants and coffee shops with my husband, cuddling our adopted fur-baby, spending time with friends and family, watching sports, reading, and tending to my plants and home.

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine if we might be a good fit to work together. Your journey to healing begins now.
